Peterbilt 389 - Routine Aluminum Metal Polishing in Windham, ME

This Peterbilt 389 belongs to one of our regular customers who takes great pride in keeping his truck show-ready all year long. This visit marked his third polish of the season, where we focused on the areas needing the most attention after a busy stretch on the road.

We began with a routine wash and acid bath to remove bugs, road film, and soot — especially across the front end. The main focus this time around was the grill, headlights, and brackets, which we brought back to life using our three-stage polishing process with professional-grade Menzerna and Marpol compounds. The result was a deep, mirror-bright shine that restored the aluminum’s clarity and reflection across the grill shroud.

The fuel tanks and wheels were next. Because the customer maintains his truck regularly using liquid metal polish, the wheels only required a quick touch-up pass to refresh their finish. The fuel tanks, however, had developed some soot etching, so we performed light sanding and full three-stage polishing to return them to a flawless mirror finish.
