Mobile Blasting Trailer Build - In House Fabrication: Windham, ME

When we set out to build our mobile sandblasting trailer, the goal was simple: design a high-performance, professional-grade system capable of handling anything from small prep jobs to full truck and heavy equipment restorations — all completely mobile.

This trailer was researched, engineered, and built in-house from the ground up. After studying commercial wet and dry systems, we chose to run a true dry-blasting setup for superior performance. While many companies advertise “dustless blasting,” the reality is that wet blasting slows production, adds cleanup time, and risks flash rust. Our dry system provides cleaner results, faster removal rates, and better coating adhesion — without the mess.

We started with a solid 19-foot steel deck trailer as the foundation — structurally sound and built to last. The entire trailer was sandblasted with coal slag, removing all paint and corrosion down to bare steel. It was then refinished using top-of-the-line Imron Industrial coatings:

• Imron Industrial Epoxy Primer for corrosion protection and adhesion
• Imron Industrial Polyurethane Topcoat for UV and chemical resistance

This coating system ensures the trailer stands up to sun exposure, road debris, and the daily wear of mobile blasting work.

Every detail was built with purpose — from the air system and moisture control setup and deck layout. The end result is a mobile blasting system that performs like a full shop setup, capable of handling frames, dump bodies, and heavy equipment with professional precision anywhere in New England.
